Igor Pikovski, Assistant Professor at Stockholm University & Stevens Institute of Technology, recently published an article titled “Detecting single gravitons with quantum sensing” in nature communications.

A graviton is the expected fundamental particle associated with gravity, as predicted by quantum theory. But it was considered impossible to detect. This publication shows that it can in fact be detected: with quantum technology.
